Top 10 Scary Meanings Behind Famous Songs

Hello and welcome back to the Most Amazing Channel on the Internet! I am your host Rebecca Felgate and today we are talking the Top 10 Scary Meanings Behind Famous Songs I love a good song… that much is probably obvious! My favourite songs are Pork Soda by Glass Animals, Nude by Radiohead and Blank Space by Taylor Swift – let me now what your three favourite songs are in the comments section down below because I know that one is simply too hard and we can have a good old music chat

Mine are always changing as well… that is the beautiful thing about music – we haven’t heard it all yet! Isn’t life great that way… imagine what is to come! You may ever have even heard your favourite song yet! Butttt put all my joy and enthusiasm aside for one moment, as I am here to tell you the DARK SIDE ! Before I do that though, please do like this video – share it with a bud and check out the links in our description box to our most amazing instagrams…also do stick around to the end where I will be reading comments from a previous video A song you probably had no idea was about death at number 10 – 10 – Katy Perry’s Firework Firework is quite the banger from Perry’s 2013 third studio album, Teenage Dream…but it seems the song has a much deeper and darker meaning than one may have expected from the sugary sweet pop star In an interview with Billboard magazine, Katy Perry said that the inspiration behind the song was actually her own death She said: Basically I have this very morbid idea when I pass, I want to be put into a firework and shot across the sky over the Santa Barbara Ocean as my last hurrah," She continued by saying "I want to be a firework, both living and dead” She said the ahhh sound in her song is her motto and last hurrah Perry called the song her Epitaph 9 – Gangnam Style Does this mean I have to do the dance? OH OKAY GO ON THEN! So we all enjoyed Psy’s smash hit Gangnam style as a jovial little jaunt The video is still the most watched on Youtube

It seems funny and clownish, but according to South Korean speakers, it has a lot of subtle messages – some of which are pretty subversive about race, class and wealth Gangnam is a rich area of South Korea filled with trust funds and princelings – people of lower economic status are grappling to be like those in Gangnam It seems Gangnam Style is addressing the high credit card debt rate of South Korea while skewering the vacuously abundant culture in Gangnam itself One South Korean resident claimed that Gangnam Style is “a satire about Gangnam but also it's about how people outside Gangnam pursue their dream to be one of those Gangnam residents without even realizing what it really means” 8 – Blurred Lines Has Robin Thicke been cancelled yet? The 42 year old made headlines back in 2013 at the MTV video music awards when he performed Blurred Lines while Miley Cyrus twerked on him

A couple of years later his wife and childhood sweetheart Paula Patton filed for divorce amid a cheating scandal I guess all of that is pretty circumstantial, though His song blurred lines, on reflection, really isn’t great when you delve into the meaning – It seems to be about the blurred lines of consent But you're an animal, baby, it's in your nature Just let me liberate you – but you’re a good girl – And that's why I'm gon' take a good girl – I know you want it… It is pretty creepy Also when the whole Miley thing went down he was a 36 year old married man gyrating with a 20 year old girl

Which like… I am trying to reserve judgment… but…again…creepy Same same but different at number 7 – Baby It’s Cold Outside This song caused actual outrage last Christmas, with many radio stations refusing to play it, which was kind of crazy as the song has had regular seasonal airplay since the 1940s The song’s lyrics are undoubtedly rapey if you actually listen to them, of this we can all agree

A man tries to convince a young woman to stay at his house during a winter storm and ignores her when she says she wants to leave Not only that, he pours her a drink…which…I don’t know…its all a bit predatory This overarching predatory theme lead to the 2018 Christmas ban across Canadian media outlets and many in the USA People are still in debate as to whether they think the song should be cancelled due to its scary sexually manipulative secret meaning…with a lot of people thinking we should ignore the undertones and enjoy it as a Christmas classic 6 – Justin Bieber, Baby I just want to say that no, I do not believe that Justin Bieber is a member of the illuminati and no I don’t think he has pledged allegiance to a satanic dark lord … but this wouldn’t be Most Amazing Top 10 without a good old mid list conspiracy! Something that when Justin’s 2010 hit Baby is played backwards, satanic and persuasive messages can be heard, Ledgernote

com claims on a reversal, you’ll hear – Acknowledge me my lord, lord Acknowledge my lord, lord He’s here I’m the evil one Satanic new world, new world, new world

I want it Let me in, let me in, yay war Let me in, let me in, let me in, yay war Lol…YAY WAR Biebs was further linked to the new World Order in 2014 when videos showing his eyes changing in caugh was uploaded to youtube – have a lil watch… EDITORS CLIP! 5 – Every Breath You Take Hello stalker alert

The Police’s Every Breath You Take, written by Sting, is one of the most sinister pop songs of all time It sounds kinda sweet on first listen, but if you really delve deep, clearly the song is written from the perspective of someone who has legitimately lost it Every breath you take Every move you make Every bond you break Every step you take I'll be watching you Every single day… Every word you say…Every game you play…Every night you stay…I'll be watching you” It seems that Sting wrote this song after the break up of he and his ex wife Frances Tomelty in 1982

Beyond the creepy song meaning, it seems that it also was a backdrop to a lot of discontent within the band Sting said he had to fight to get the song on the album and things got very heated First Sting is losing it, now Bono… blimey these chaps are unstable! 4 – U2 Exit One little fact for you that I learned while working here… Bono survived a plane crash! Did you know that! He is a plane crash survivor! Anyway, back to the original point… Exit is categorically THE MOST disturbing U2 song

It seems our mate Bono was channeling the mind of a murder when he wrote it…actually though He admitted to reading Norman Mailer’s The Executioners Song and Truman Capote’s In Cold Blood Bono said: Exit was my attempt at writing a story in the mind of a killer It is all very well to address America and the violence that is in an aggressive foreign policy, but to really understand that you have to get under the skin of your own darkness, the violence that we all contain within us It seems the dark meaning behind the song somehow …like…poisoned it with evil! Famously, murderer Robert Bardo claimed that Exit was the inspiration behind his stalking and killing of 21 year old American Actress and model, Rebecca Schaeffer

The 1987 Track was a favourite for Brando, and he used it as motivation when he stalled the young woman for three years Chillingly, he then murdered her in 1989 and when the song was played in courtroom, he mouthed along with the lyrics… NO It isn’t just Sting doing the Stalking and Bono being menacing…Debbie Harry is at it too – 3 – Blondie – One Way or Another Oh I love Blondie! I really do! Their 1979 hit One Way or Another is catchy, but also stalky! One way or another, I’m gonna find ya, I’m gonna getcha getcha getcha!and then there is the whole …I’l drive by your house and if the laights are all out I’ll see who’s around thing! Debbie Harry claims the song was inspired by an actual stalking incident she experienced – she says a nut job followed her for some time and she was trying to make light of the situation The lyrics also contain some concerning references to rat food… which… does that mean poison?! 2 – Waterfalls This song was an absolute 90s banger and I will hear no more about it ! The 1995 hit peaked at number one in several countries including the United States The music video played HEAVILY on MTV at the time Written by Lisa Left Eye Lopes and Marqueze Etheridge – the melodic R&B track is actually about the illegal drug trade, sleeping around and Aids In the narrative of the song a child dies selling drugs and another man contracts HIV

The song was actually the first ever track about AIDS and HIV to reach the number one spot Chasing Waterfalls means basically chasing anything that is self destructive… the song is about the struggle to end self destructive behaviour and how sometimes the addiction to it wins 1 – Can’t Feel My Face I can’t feeeelll my face when I’m with you… What a sweet sentiment But actually, I can’t feel my face by the Weeknd is actually about being high on cocaine

The Weeknd’s number one hit was played on commercial radio A LOT… but it is about an addiction Let’s examine the lyrics again – And I know she'll be the death of me, at least we'll both be numb – And she'll always get the best of me, the worst is yet to come” We realise the woman he is singing about is actually a metaphor, a personification of addiction The drug is a toxic situation he can’t get out of even though he seems to know it could kill him Comments from Top 10 Scary Childhood Memory Stories part 3 Cecilia C wrote: Bone chilling stories, ahhhh!
